About SWCR

Ideology of Society for Wound Care and Research (SWCR) is a unique blend of academic, clinical, research and social service. It was founded in the year 2006 with an aim to:

To promote practice of better wound care and research by:-

Organizing conferences, seminars, lectures, video shows, etc.,
Offering fellowships for advance training in wound care
 Training school children in first aid for traumatic wounds and related matters
 Training young paramedical, medical students and practicing doctors in advanced wound care
 Providing research grant to investigators in wound care, especially to persons below 45 year of age.

To render community health care related to trauma/wound by:-

Organizing camps in disaster hit areas or any other area as found suitable by the trust
Providing monetary help to poor and needy patients suffering from traumatic wounds especially when unattended.
To promote multidisciplinary wound care by mutual co- operation between various specialties, sub-specialties of medical, paramedical and social organizations to achieve it's objectives
To permit the formation of State Chapters in India
To affiliate with other associations of various countries and to form an international platform for advanced wound care.


To bring out publications in the form of journals, newspaper articles, books/handbills, etc., and maintain a web site.

To establish scholarships, foundations and lectureship and to provide grants and other enefactions either in India or elsewhere which are designed to enhance the learning in, and practice of, wound care and research or to contribute to the establishment of the same.
